Hari Singh ka Sholey

Hari Singh had never imagined that one day his son Gabbar Singh will become a famous dacoit of reward 50,000. He distributed sweets to celebrate this golden moment because no one has earned so much name and fame in his khandaan till the date. Hari Singh believes his son Gabbar singh was not as bad as government and police talk about. He just wanted a hafta (protection money) from the people of Rampur and surroundings to protect them from other dacoits including government’s different policies to take money as tax and all. His son had announced that in a jungle there will be only one lion, but Thakur Baldev Singh and his family started a crusade that caused a mass murder of thakur’s family.

According to him, Gabbar singh is a peace lover, he wanted to make peace with Thakur Baldev Singh but he denied and attacked Gabbar and his volunteers. But if you attack a lion in his cave what will he do? So Gabbar attacked back and catches Thakur Baldev Singh. If he wanted to kill thakur he would kill but being a peace lover he released him with a minor punishment, cutting his both hands. Hari singh was happy that his son is very kind that’s why he let Thakur Baldev Singh live. But neither Hari Singh nor Gabbar singh had ever imagined that a person that is unable to go toilet without Ramlal, will commit such a heinous crime to hire two rats (thieves Jai and Veeru) to hunt this lion.

Jai and Veeru had already disturbed the lifestyle of the Angrejo ke zamane ke Jailor and the Elephant tusk and wood smuggler Soorma Bhopali.

When Gabbar got this news of hiring two thieves Jai-Veeru by the handless policeman, he laughed a lot. Any way he sent a proposal “Birds of a feather flock together” to lure both thieves sending Sambha and Kaliya. Jai and Veeru agreed on the terms and planned to join him after looting thakur’s tijori, but at the meantime Jai gets persuaded by thakur’s daughter in law Radha and both canceled the deal.

Gabbar used to like Holi, Eid, Chrismass and other festivals. When ever he used to come to greet Happy Eid to blind Rahim chacha, chacha easily guessed his presence in the village asking“Itna Sannata kyo hai bhai”.

Gabbar was bored with a single dance number “Mehbooba o mehbooba”, so he made a deal with Basanti for another dance “Jabtak hai Jan”. But when Jai and Viru came to the village they diverted Basanti and her Mausi’s mind against him and Basanti canceled the deal. Gabbar was so kind that in spite of being cheated by Thakur, Jai- Veeru and villagers, he forgave them. But they kept on teasing him again and again as a result Jai was killed in attacking at Gabbar.

Finally one day Gabbar’s mind got transformed and he surrendered himself to thakur to prove himself a saint dacoit but in between police interferes and took him to jail. But Hari singh still believes that Gabbar singh will get releases for his good behavior. And after releasing, his peace lover son will surely cut Thakur Baldev Singh’s both legs as a minor punishment.
